William Chamblee and Annik Morgan Win Again – Tarrant County

Bill Chamblee and Annik Morgan win another medical malpractice trial where they defended a gynecologist / oncologist. Plaintiff alleged that the Defendant Doctor created multiple bowel perforations during a laparoscopic total abdominal hysterectomy. Plaintiff alleged the perforations went undiagnosed resulting in sepsis, an additional procedure resulting in a colostomy, and complications that ultimately resulted in patient’s death. Bill and Annik argued that the perforations were not the result of the procedure in question but were related to post operative diverticulitis that ultimately caused the ruptures. Further, Plaintiff’s death was quite some time after the surgery in question and was unrelated to any of the care and treatment of the Defendant Doctor. The jury returned a verdict after four days of trial for the Defendant. The jury’s verdict was arrived at following approximately 25 minutes of deliberation and was unanimous. Bill and Annik were very proud to represent this outstanding doctor and fully appreciate the jury arriving at THE TRUTH!
