At Chamblee Ryan, our founding partners are ranked among the top trial lawyers in Texas, and as a result we are able to offer a small firm environment with big firm clientele. Our reputation as an elite trial firm and our unique work environment has attracted talent from the top law schools and law firms. We are highly selective in the attorneys we hire. Our lawyers are individually picked once-at-a-time for their talents and for the benefits they can bring to the firm. The bottom line is quality and loyalty. Salaries are competitive, we offer a full benefits package, and attorneys are given expansive opportunities for growth and development, professionally and personally. Our primary goal is to hire smart, talented, and balanced individuals while maintaining a collegial and supportive professional atmosphere. We hire people that will make great lawyers and be great additions to our firm.

As an associate or partner at Chamblee Ryan, your ultimate goal is to satisfy clients. The practice of law is a competitive business, but you won’t be competing with your colleagues. Instead, your competition is opposing counsel, because in litigation winners and losers can be defined. Clients depend on victory and success. As an attorney at Chamblee Ryan, you won’t sit on the sidelines for years before taking an active role in all phases of litigation. Young attorneys will attend depositions, argue motions, and communicate directly with clients, all while under the guidance of some of the best trial attorneys in Texas. Law Students

We have found that a law firm devoted primarily to litigation attracts the best law students who want to try lawsuits. We attract students who excelled in moot court and mock trial; students who went to law school because they wanted the challenge and enjoyment of working in litigation- not sit on the sidelines of a “Big Law” firm for years before participating in the most minor of litigious tasks. Our focus on elite legal work with a low-overhead structure offers junior associates unparalleled opportunities to quickly develop their legal skills. Junior associates work closely with senior attorneys and partners, and accept significant work and responsibilities.

While the firm does not maintain a full-time summer associate program, we routinely hire law clerks who are given the opportunity to see what it would be like to be an associate at Chamblee Ryan.  Law clerks work on projects and have the opportunity to explore many areas of law within our diverse litigation practice.  Clerks will work under the direction of numerous attorneys who concentrate on a wide range of legal matters.  While research and writing is of course a large part of the tasks assigned, clerks will also have the opportunity to observe depositions, hearings, and trials.

Laterals

We routinely add experienced associates and partners from other law firms. The majority of our lawyers are hired as laterals.  Our firm has benefited from the experience, new contacts, and different perspectives brought by attorneys that practiced in other firms, government agencies, or corporations.

We hire talented and experienced attorneys throughout the year to meet specific needs of the firm and our clients.  Chamblee Ryan seeks to hire well-rounded and motivated individuals, who possess impressive credentials and who display a genuine interest in our firm.

Staff

As we continue to grow, our need for talented support staff grows as well. Throughout the year, our firm requires the hiring of smart and energetic support staff members to help our firm deliver elite legal services. Our staff members are vital to the success of the firm in the courtroom. The firm’s collegial and respectful work environment has resulted in great loyalty amongst our staff, many of whom have been with us for over 10 years.
