Jarad Kent Admitted to American Board of Trial Advocates

Jarad Kent, a Chamblee Ryan partner in the firm’s Tyler office, has been accepted as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, one of the premier legal associations in North America.

Mr. Kent represents clients in medical malpractice defense as well as other litigation, including claims involving personal injury, transportation law, commercial litigation, construction defects and health care provider reimbursements. He has been recognized on the list of Texas Rising Stars in the legal profession each year since 2015, and was recognized for the second consecutive year in 2020 on the list of Best Lawyers in America© for Civil Litigation. He earned his law degree from the Baylor University School of Law in 2007.

Founded in 1958, the American Board of Trial Advocates and its members are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA membership consists of more than 7,600 lawyers—equally balanced between plaintiff and defense—and judges spread among 96 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism by following ABOTA’s Code of Professionalism and Principles of Civility.
