Senior Associate Jarad Kent and Associate James Fendley obtained a unanimous defense verdict in a negligence and trespass suit in Dallas County, Texas. Plaintiff contended that Defendants’ vehicle was responsible for damage to Plaintiff’s overhead telephone cable when Defendants’ tractor/trailer struck a wire that was hanging over a city street. After a three day trial, the jury returned a unanimous defense verdict finding that Defendants were not negligent and that Defendant had not intentionally damaged property belonging to Plaintiff that was lawfully in place.
