Chamblee Ryan, P.C. wins its first jury trial of 2026!

Chamblee Ryan, P.C. (CR) wins its first jury trial of 2026!  In Ali Shan Essani v. Alina Mansoor Jamal, et al., tried in the 493rd District Court, Collin County, Texas, CR represented Plaintiff, an immigrant from Pakistan, who sued Defendants, a savvy business group, to recover his substantial all cash investment in a gas station and convenience store business. The arrangement between the parties was based on oral agreements, promises, and trust.  After the acquisition of the business, Plaintiff was the sole operator of the business and within a year increased the value by approximately half a million dollars.  Within sixteen months of acquiring the business, Defendants unlawfully expelled Plaintiff from the business and kept his investment including profits. The Plaintiff sued. The Defendants counter sued. On February 2, 2026, in a four-day jury trial, after hearing the testimony from several witnesses including experts and witnessing the documents admitted into evidence, the jury ruled for Plaintiff and awarded Plaintiff damages and dismissed Defendants’ counterclaims. Aamer Ravji of Chamblee Ryan was the lead trial counsel who tried the case.
