Chamblee Ryan frequently acts as national trial counsel for large trucking companies in problematic cases around the U.S. In that capacity, Peyton Inge obtained complete Summary Judgment on a claim by Plaintiffs that Chamblee Ryan’s client was negligent, grossly negligent, and negligently entrusted a tractor-trailer to its driver after the Plaintiff suffered significant injury when she slid into the rear of the trailer, which was stopped on the side of the highway. By way of comparison, while Chamblee Ryan was able to dispose of this case prior to trial at nominal cost, a jury in California recently awarded a $150 million verdict to a plaintiff in a similar action.
Chamblee Ryan will defend the same transportation client for whom Peyton Inge won summary judgment in Tarrant County in a trial set for February 2014 in Northern California.
