Overview

Kathryn Shilling is a senior associate at Chamblee Ryan. Kathryn has 13+ years of insurance coverage experience, including both first-party and third-party claims. She is proficient in research and writing, having served on a briefing attorney for both Fifth District Court of Appeals in Texas and a staff attorney for the Second District Court of Appeals. She has extensive experience providing all aspects of trial support and appellate work for trial counsel in insurance, business, and consumer litigation.

Kathryn’s most recent experience includes serving as outside counsel to several small- to medium-sized businesses, particularly in the automotive sector, and working as in-house counsel to complete a fast-tracked franchise conversion for a start-up company in the automotive sector. This position included corporate restructure, compliance issues, mitigation of liability risks, negotiation and settlement of distributor/franchise terminations, creation and maintenance of franchise documents, as well as, employment licensing, and other business-related contracts.

In her spare time, she loves to travel and spend time with family.
