Overview

Maria Velarde is an associate attorney at Chamblee Ryan. Maria earned her juris doctor degree from Texas A&M University School of Law. While working to attain her law degree, Maria was a clinic student for the Innocence Project of Texas, where she devoted her time to helping those who have been wrongfully convicted. Previously, Maria graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.

Born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, Maria grew up embracing her Hispanic heritage. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, and she is a member of the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association.

Maria spends her free time enjoying the performing arts experiences Dallas has to offer. Whether it is a Dallas Summer Musicals event, or a Texas Ballet Theater production, you can count on Maria to be in attendance.
