Overview

DeAnne Price Claire (Dee Dee) is a Senior Litigation Attorney who has 30 years experience practicing law in the Dallas metropolitan Area.

Dee Dee’s experience includes a wide variety of practice areas including: civil litigation, attorney ethics and misconduct, ad valorem tax law and probate and estate planning and currently, insurance defense and medical malpractice.

While practicing with the State Bar of Texas, Dee Dee sat as first chair on behalf of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel’s Office in numerous bench and jury trials appearing on behalf of the Bar in several District Courts throughout the state.

Proudly a native Nebraskan, Dee Dee made her way to the Great State of Texas in 1978 when she relocated to Texarkana with her Mom and sister.  Upon completion of High School, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Spelman College (Atlanta, Georgia) where she competed in the “Miss Senior” Pageant at Morehouse College where she was crowned as 1st Attendant to Miss Senior.

She is also a proud alumnus of Thurgood Marshall School of Law Class of 1991, located on the campus of Texas Southern University in Houston.  While attending TMSL, Dee Dee held many honors, served as the Moot Court Board Secretary, competed in and won or placed in Mock Trial Competitions and earned the honor of her peers by being awarded the Student Body’s President’s Award as a 3L.

Dee Dee has two adult sons of whom, she is their biggest fan.  She and her “boys” are HUGE Dallas Cowboy fans and football season is sacred to them! For that reason, Fall is her favorite time of year.

She is also the Mom to two fur babies (George and Sophie) and MiMi to one fur grand-baby (Dallas).

Experience

  • Regional Attorney for the Texas Dept. of Family and Children Services (formerly TDPRS – Dept. of Protective and Regulatory Services for Dallas and Tarrant County as well as the 17 contiguous counties within the metroplex in my early career (1994-2002);
  • Lead Trial Attorney for the State Bar of Texas’ Disciplinary Counsel’s Office (nearly 100% win rate of both bench and jury trials) (2002-2005);
  • Partner at West & Associates (14 years) offering Probate, Estate Planning, Will and Trust services;
