Amos D. Pettis
Amos Pettis is a senior associate at Chamblee Ryan.
Amos grew up moving around Texas, and he graduated valedictorian of Princeton High School. He was named All-State as an offensive lineman and captain on the football team. After high school, Amos attended Angelo State University, where he graduated in three years with a 4.0 GPA. He then attended Texas Tech University School of Law, where he graduated with honors in 2000. Amos moved back to the DFW metroplex where he has been practicing law since 2000.
Amos lives in Waxahachie and enjoys spending time with his wife and their large family of children, foster children, and many animals. Amos and Rebecca are active with their church, and they enjoy camping and going on cruises for vacation.
Amos is an attorney with over 20 years of experience, and he has tried over 30 cases to juries or judges. Amos is licensed in all state and federal courts in both Texas and Oklahoma. He has represented individuals, businesses, and insurers in a wide range of legal matters, from small claims court to multi-million dollar exposures. Amos’ trial experience includes property damages, personal injuries, car wrecks, premises liability, discrimination, defamation, fraud, bad faith, and wrongful death. Amos has handled appeals in multiple Texas appellate courts, the Texas Supreme Court, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit.
