David Walsh’s recent appellate victory in case under the Texas Citizen’s Participation Act was highlighted in a recent article by Jess Davis of Law360. Mr. Walsh was able to convince the appellate court that the Act, which was implemented to protect citizens’ rights of free speech, did not apply to a private employment dispute in which none of the speech became public and none of the speech directly concerned a public matter. The case ExxonMobil Pipeline Co v. Coleman was the subject of David’s article entitled “Exxon Can’t Dump Ex-Worker’s Suit Under Free Speech Law,” which can be found here.
